Friends of PAFA Scholarship Campaign
Friends of PAFA Scholarship Fund
Kai Qin is from China, and was first exposed to PAFA as an exchange student from the China Academy. She fell in love with PAFA’s classical training. "Even if you want contemporary art, you need a foundation." She speaks highly of PAFA’s "family atmosphere" and the way "the talented artists here make me feel more professional; they love art and their passion touches me." "They work hard outside at jobs and spend the money—rather than on themselves—on their supplies."
Kai Qin is able to attend PAFA because of a generous merit scholarship. She would love to see more funds made available for international students, who, by law, are not generally permitted to work while on a student visa.
Kai Qin plans to return to China after graduating to teach at the China Academy. She wants "to give back to those who gave so much."
